This week, Jodi Annette and Christopher Mellows delivered our inaugural course at our Centre of Excellence near Bridgend, South Wales. Tailored specifically for those inspecting bolted flange joint assemblies in high-hazard process industries, this comprehensive training meets the highest industry standards.
The course is fully aligned with:
– ASME PCC-1-2022 (Guidelines for Pressure Boundary Bolted Flange Joint Assembly) Appendix A
– The latest Energy Institute Guidelines for management of integrity of bolted joints in pressurised systems.
Key Curriculum Highlights include (but not limited to):
– Fundamental principles of bolted flange joint assemblies
– Industry standards/references
– Identification of flange, gasket, and bolting types etc.
– Flange face inspection techniques (ASME PCC-1, Appendix A)
– Inspection – failure factors
– Critical safety procedures and industry best practices
– The role and importance of independent inspection/core personal attributes
– Essential QA/QC documentation
– Specialist inspection methods for PTFE lined piping and hydrofluoric acid alkylation facilities
– Written theory test and practical ‘fault finding’ assessment
