Throughout Wales, we are facing a significant mechanical engineering skills gap, but we’re totally committed to bridging it and we believe the key lies in a holistic approach that combines important practical, hands-on experience with academic learning.
However, we know we can’t solve this challenge alone. We need to collaborate with industry leaders, educational institutions, and government bodies to create a sustainable solution.
By working together, we can;
Partner with employers to align our training with their specific needs and provide valuable experience for engineering apprentices.
Work with colleges and learning establishments to ensure academic curricula are relevant and up-to-date.
Work with schools and collaborate in STEM projects
Engage with local and national government to secure funding and support for these vital programmes.
