The absence of trailing leads and high‑pressure hydraulic hoses makes it easier and safer to use, while modern battery torque guns also deliver consistent torque values with less operator fatigue.
Battery-operated torque guns can achieve anywhere from around 15 ft‑lbs (20 Nm) for light-duty models up to an industry-leading 11,000 ft‑lbs (15,000 Nm) for heavy-duty industrial tools. This wide range means they now rival or even surpass hydraulic torque systems in many applications.
