Battery-operated torque guns can achieve anywhere from around 15 ft‑lbs (20 Nm) for light-duty models up to an industry-leading 11,000 ft‑lbs (15,000 Nm) for heavy-duty industrial tools. This wide range means they now rival or even surpass hydraulic/pneumatic torque systems in many applications.
Our ECITB‑approved MJI23 Powered Torque Gun Training Course is designed for every sector where bolted joint integrity matters. From nuclear, renewables, wind energy and utilities, through to oil & gas, plant construction and petrochemical — the principles of safe, controlled bolting remain the same, and so does the need for genuine competence.
To deliver this standard, we use only the best. Our course is powered by HYTORC United Kingdom & Ireland equipment, including their patented reaction washer technology, which removes the need for traditional reaction arms and significantly reduces risk during high‑energy bolting operations.
It’s practical. It’s industry‑aligned. And it gives technicians the confidence and capability to do the job properly, whatever sector they work in. This course also forms part of our Mechanical Apprentice Training Programme offered to industry throughout Wales and SW England.
We are now taking bookings at our Bridgend and Chesterfield training centres throughout May, June and July!
