I really want to share some good, positive news (and its not about our company)..
Zulu Joint Integrity & Training Ltd has been providing a tailored training program through NPT Employability over the past three months, aimed at assisting those impacted by the recent developments at Tata Steel in Port Talbot.
Over the past three months, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many exceptional individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and joint integrity. They have showcased the foundational knowledge and skill required to confidently and safely dismantle and reassemble hub/clamp connectors and ASME-standard flanges on process pipework.
I know only too well that contractor companies find it difficult to obtain competent personnel for turnarounds and projects. I also understand that when owner/operators are looking to recruit mechanical (or operations personnel) positions, it isn’t easy to find the right calibre of person to fulfil the role. We know the issues and concerns regarding the UK wide labour pool and skills shortage..
I’m not putting my neck on the line as I truly believe that these people have the necessary skillset required by our industry and that they are ready to work in our various process industries – but they need a chance.
So, on behalf of those that I’ve met here at our joint integrity ‘Centre of Excellence’ and with their full agreement I’m willing to share their contact information and cv’s etc.
Our ongoing program is designed to enhance mechanical competency skills, specifically for individuals working with bolted flanged joints in hazardous process industries as well as instilling a mindset that constantly questions and evaluates safety measures.
Participants work alongside our training team in South Wales, achieving industry-recognised certifications and qualifications that can help them prove levels of competency to recognised standards and allow them to gain employment within the UK process industries. These qualifications bolster their own engineering and industrial experiences.
Our training program* includes the following;
✅ Industry standards/compliance
✅ Human error/human factors (Chronic Unease)
✅ BS EN 1591-4:2013
✅ ECITB MJI10
✅ ECITB TMJI10 (10 months AFTER above MJI10)
*All qualifications undertaken by the learners during the program are assessed through a combination of formative question and answer sessions, formative tests, a written theory test and practical exercises.
For all companies across the UK (and in particular south Wales) looking to recruit engineering personnel, these men and women are available NOW!
Please DM me or email chrism@zulujointintegrity.co.uk I’m more than happy to discuss anytime.
