Today was a great day….

In my job I see and hear so much negativity in industry – particularly regarding bad practice, human error, non-compliance and so forth, so it was such a breath of fresh air to concentrate on something positive by celebrating mechanical engineering apprenticeships and the recognition to Tata Steel UK with their ongoing commitment to train apprentices in the subject matter of mechanical joint integrity.

For the last seven years we have partnered with Tata Steel to help support their ongoing training programme. In that time we have delivered industry standard training and assessment of apprentices and higher apprentices and today Zulu Joint Integrity & Training Ltd gave kudos to the Tata training academy, to all its staff and apprentices and to Tata Steel UK for this ongoing commitment.

It’s imperative that we share knowledge and pass on best practice to our future generations of engineers and today we acknowledged this importance and celebrated with the team at the impressive facility at Tata Steel’s Port Talbot training academy.

Thank you in particular to Matthew Davies, Technical Training Manager (left), Neil Preece, Apprentice Training Officer (right) and all the academy support staff.
