We are pleased to announce that this month we are delivering industry standard joint integrity training to Tata Steel UK engineering apprentices from Port Talbot, Llanwern and Trostre sites.
This coincides with National Apprentice Week 2021. The annual celebration of apprenticeships will shine a light on the amazing work being done by employers and apprentices across the UK and recognises how employers have stepped up to the challenge during this unprecedented time.
We will provide learners with the underpinning knowledge, skills and competencies to safely assemble bolted joints in critical service pressurised systems – as well as an understanding of joint integrity management and its interaction with process safety and asset integrity.
UK industry is seeing a massive step change in terms of proving competency of personnel and this investment in training will help support Tata’s efforts to minimise process leaks and emissions at their operational sites.
We are a great advocate of apprenticeships and it is genuinely pleasing to see this investment in apprentices regarding the serious -and often overlooked subject of the integrity of bolted joints.
After all, these learners are not just the future of steelmaking, they are the future of UK industry.
Good luck to everyone!
